Summing it all up.

USA:
The greatest nation on planet Earth so far. A fascinating place that gives you a lot of impressions. A country that is the only one that don't have medical care for every citizen. Weird.

THE PEOPLE:
Americans are really nice people, forthcoming and friendly. Very easy to get in touch with. Compare this to the stuck up, unfriendly Swedes that think they are the best. They are introverted, conceited, self-righteous and smug.

Give me Americans any day, particularly the Texans with their broad drawl of English. And infinite love for their great state of Texas.

But of course there are exceptions like Barbro and Kalle seen below with Martin. Up to the left, a smiling Norwegian called Dag, one of Martin's travel mates for 3 weeks.

On the last leg of our trip, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville and Atlanta, most dance partners were back in Norway and we got a bunch of boring Swedes. Not good. I could have dropped this last leg that I did in 2008 as well.

THE CRUISE:
This was really fantastic. The Come And Dance (CAD)-organizers had done a fantastic job with programs all the day except when at port on the 3 stops on route. See March 24th for details.

What hits you is the food everywhere, fat Americans and their eating habits. Amazing. CAD will have a cruise every Easter in the foreseeable future. Martin may participate. In 2011 he will go to Chicago, but it is doubtful if he will participate in the cruise. To little dancing there and you get fat.

COMMENTS:
Amund, the Norwegian tour organizer has done a fantastic job putting together a trip like this.
