Summing it all up.

Today, April 6th in New Orleans was a very nice day where we finished on the Mississippi on the Steamboat Natchez. It was nice, but we couldn’t dance as we did in 2008. See details on http://cv.feness.com/usa08/Nov15.htm.

I had some oysters and strawberry beer for a night cap.

Lovely it was.

To the left, the calorie rich cookies at Café du Monde in New Orleans, not far from our hotel.

At night, we went dining and dancing at the Steamboat Natchez.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, time for editing pictures from the day before.

Fat Domino's rebuild house after Katharina's ravages in 2005.

Inside a house that was completely submerged by water.

In the main public park of New Orleans.

The oldest oak tree in the park.

The dykes that broke during Katharina's visit.

At the Oyster House with a Rolling Rock.

Martin and Steinar.

The bartender, Curtis gave Martin a taste of 6 different kinds of the local beer Abita.

Martin and a helpful man Bill from Memphis.

Steinar on board the Steamboat Natchez.

The orchestra was playing on top deck this time, not as last time in the dining hall where we danced.

The skyline of New Orleans.

Steinar at the railings on the Steamboat Natchez.

Steinar in the engine room.

Martin in the dining room.

The next day, Wedmesday April 7th, it was time for travelling to Memphis to say hello to Elvis at HEARTBREAK HOTEL at 3677 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38116, phone +1 901 332 1000.
