A day trip to various places and two waterfalls with a video of the waterfalls and one of the pagodas for the King and Queen.

Off to the South-West.

Roy waiving with the commuter ring of Martin. Time to go.

On the road with the car.

First stop was a national park, Coi Inthanon National Park.

The Malaysian woman sitting next to Martin is going back to our bus.

The working people behind the scenes.

The place is run by the air-force. Some of the soldiers up the road.

Sirithan Waterfalls is the next stop.

Here is the waterfall itself. Watch the video.

She was a very sweet thing and just back from Australia where she had studied English.

Back to our wan.

The Thais think 18 degree Centigrade is freezing.

For Norwegians, that is just a nice summer temperature.

The shrine on top of the hill.

Chao Dao Rasmi died in March 1915 and he was buried here on the hill. His ashes are in the shrine.

The highest spot in Thailand, 2565,3342 meters above the sea level.

Martin at the spot. Why so many decimals?

.

The pagoda for the Queen on the hill. Erected in 1992. The Queen's is 55 meters tall. The King's is 60 meters. Why?

The King's was erected in 1987, 5 years before the Queen's. Since the Queen is 5 years younger than the King.

The details of the pagodas.

The royal couple.

The steps up to the King's pagoda.

Martin didn't walk he took the escalator.
