The airport at Singapore was
impressive. It is called ChangI.
Leaving our hotel in Singapore for the airport.
Our departing flight. |
The Changi Airport of Singapore was excellent as most things in Singapore, a
city and a state. A fancy car, The Balvenie. |
Details of the Balvenie interior.
Martin and the car.
Decorations in the departing hall at Changi. |
Nice airport. Look at
the video.
Martin enjoying an expensive beer at the airport. |
Martin having a very expensive
beer. Some US $ 15,- for a pint. Beats even Norwegian price.
A nice touch in the departing hall. USB- and electrical outlets for
computers. Smart. |
Happy Roy waiting to depart for
Bangkok having an quail egg. Even an Internet
setup, free of charge. Very efficient as every thing else in Singapore. |
Off to the departing lounge at the
gate. The Singaporean flag with the sickle of
the moon. Why? Martin asked many, nobody could answer. 70% of the
inhabitants are Christians, not Muslims. |
The ladies at the info desk
checking out no. of passengers per year. Last year, 40,9 million passed
through the airport. The lay out of the airport. |
Roy is always happy. A happy young man in other
words.
The fat bill at the airport for a single beer. Some US $ 15,- for a pint.
That's a lot.
Martin being caught at customs for too much
after sun lotion. 120 ml. Only 100 is allowed. Roy got through though. |
In Bangkok, the girl is having
their lunch break on the floor. Don Muang airport is also very spacious
being just upgraded to offload the main airport of Bangkok,
Suvarnabhumi. |
Martin waiting for his
beer at Don Muang. Stiff prices here too. But only US $ 5,- for a bottle.
Off the plane and on to the taxi at Chiang Mai. |
The hotel was not
impressive, Eco
Resort. The first room was without bathroom
and very small. Had to be changed. Martin at the reception. |
The reception.
The pool was a full length 25 meters pool with 5 lanes. |
Two happy travelers at
the
pool. Pool details with the lanes. |
Mosquito net was a new
one for both of us. Martin seen here. Martin
behind the veil of the mosquito net. It promises a night free of mosquito
bites. And it worked. |
The next day, Tuesday March 30th,
it was our first full day in Chiang Mai and we took a bus trip in the afternoon. |
