After 12 hours on the train, we arrived in Surathani before taking a bus to Krabi and Ao Nang.

The sunrise just before arriving to Surathani.

The interior of the cabin wasn't much. This is the ceiling.

The was basin.

Arrived at the railway station.

Our bus took us to Krabi. See the map for details.

Early morning in Surathani. Around 0730 in the morning.

The train that took us to Surathani.

Then we arrived at Krabi for a change of bus to a van.

Roy and Martin were the oldies on this trip. We could easily have been the grand dads of the backpackers you see here.

Arriving at Ao Nang, Marti went to the post office to buy a box to get rid of some of his stuff.

An old fashioned petrol pump.

Mr. FairDeal. This Tuc-Tuc driver didn't cheat Martin. Nice guy.

Miss Smile. She is doing work while studying Hospitality Management. She was good.

The pool were nice.

The pool is long and narrow and some 30 meters long. But Martin managed to swim 60 length.

The hotel from the outside.

Roy took a ride with an elephant

Here are the elephants.

Roy on his elephant.

The view from the beach.

The room's coffee corner.

The room with the tub in the background. Who the hell would use tub in the middle of the room?

Evening out on the Boogie bar. Very little boogie woogie though.

One of the performers.

The next day, Sunday March 20th, it was Martin's 72nd birthday and hour second day at Ao Nang.
