Summing it all up.

March 30, Orientation part II

This second Thursday in Eilat was just great, repeating my steps from the first one a week ago.

Tor the left, sitting at the post office, sticking on stamps after buying them from the machine to the right.

Fancy machine for stamps that print the value on them according to your order.

Outside the airport, a van parks smack bang in the middle of the street with no regards to anything or anyone.

And the traffic really jams things up.

The domestic airport is in the middle of town and planes are coming and going all the time.

At the waterfront, the shops are closed at 0930 in the morning. Most business happens at nights.

Ponton restaurant where we where this morning. As last week.

Our day tour driver, Sharif taking us around the city.

Water purification takes place in two stages. The first one is desalination of the Red Sea water. The second one is chemical purification seen here.

Yatzhik Rabin border crossing into Jordan.

Instead of entering the stone works of Eilat, Martin too a visit into the factory area where Manor had a very nice coffee shop.

Manor was great at omelets. Martin ordered one.

Very tasty it was. Great fun sitting watching the food being made in front of you. Jammie.

Bye for now. Next time in Eilat, I definitely come back to Manor for his omelets.

And it was all inside the City Hall of the old factory area of Eilat.

Back to the stone works of Eilat. Great entrance made up as a gallery in a mine with fittings from the mine. Cute.

The desalination plants of Eilat.

On the roof top of the stone works, a weary Jewish gal has her cigarettes and a rest.

Judas flowers again. The are everywhere.

Yellow Beetle. Elsabe's car during many years where Tanya grew up.

Texas Ranch, where you can go camel humping in the desert.

Very friendly and honest grocery salesman. Not Jalla, you know. The screw you anyway the can.

An overview of the market that is there every Thursday in Eilat.

Shimon, his son Lior and Martin at the PC at Pierre's Hostel next door.

Patricia and Judas flowers outside the El Gaucho restaurant. An Argentine one with stacks of fatty food and calorie rich food. Not as good as promised.

Pat and Martin having a pre dinner drink. The best part of it all. Patricia has her own studio at www.nesodden.as/patricia.

Tamil, our nice, cute braided little waiter. She did her best, but the food was not in her favor.

Tamil's braids are cute, aren't they. Hardworking girl this one.

The chef working with fatty raw material. A pity really, due to the fact that everything else was nice, except for the fatty, greasy and sinewy meat.

But the coals were hot, low calorie and tasty ;-)

The next day was Sabbath, the Jewish holiday and day off. Time for the beach.
