The left, our Sterling flight that left on time 0630 for
Eilat. On the route there, one of the ladies on the plane got sick and had
to be offloaded in Budapest.
The ambulance here to the right that picked her up. Not the
web-address, www.mentok.hu.
My travel company was a couple with two small children, 2
years and 8 months old. Very nice people living in Oslo, but originally from
the West Coast of Norway.
At Ovda airport in the Negev
desert. We were some four hours late due to the detour to Budapest.
The barren landscape of the Negev desert all around us on
the airport.
Our trusted Sterling landed far too late. The
plane returned to Oslo the same night.
A nice family from Norway. The father took the photos of all
of us.
Vidar our Norwegian tour guide from the airport to
the hotel.
The Israeli girls serve 18 months in the Army and their male
counterpart serve 36. This is one of many checkpoints along the route.
Our friendly bus driver Jousef. A cool fellow that knows his business.
The mountainous route to Eilat.
And the sun
sets fast here.
Pia, a friendly mother from Copenhagen as we met in the
reception area of the hotel.
My first Israeli beer, the Gold
Star. It's a brownish, sweetish beer nice for Scandinavians.
The two most popular beers in Israel. Macabee Beer and the
Gold Star. Macabee is more like traditional pilsner beer. Not so good.
Eilat by night. The bright lights of Eilat towards the Jordanian side.
The next day, the 23rd, was used to get to
know Eilat and booking a tour to Jerusalem for two days.
