Eilat Mar 22 - Apr 6, 2006

Martin with his happy traveling hat on a beach in Egypt during 2003 enjoying the warmth of Eilat. Above you see the map of Israel and where Eilat is situated by the red sea.

To the right, you have a topographical map of the same area.

The Ovda airport is some 45 min bus drive North of Eilat. This picture is from Google Earth, highly recommend. Have a look for yourself.

The city of Eilat where we stayed. The hotel is marked on the map.

The pictures above and below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click on the thumbnails, and you get the full picture in a separate window. And depending on your browser, it may be a little smaller to fit your screen size.
Just click the enlargement button to see the full picture. It looks like this .

Departure from Tønsberg on March 21st..

To the left, you have a map showing Westwood at Nøtterøy, where we live and the neighboring towns.

To the right, a map showing the Southernmost part of Norway where Nøtterøy is marked.

Early morning the next day, we departed from Oslo Airport, Gardemoen. Oslo is situated some 60 km North of the capital, Oslo. If you're interested in details of the airport, read it up.

Detailed map showing the airport in relation to Oslo, Norway's capital.

Ready to depart from the frozen WestWood at NutsIsland.

Waiting for the last train to Oslo and the airport. The plane is leaving at 0630 in the morning on Wednesday. An ungodly early time.

On board the train to Oslo at 2215 at night.

After an uncomfortable night on a bench at the airport, we were ready to take off the following day, March 22nd.
