We visited Phuong's family some 50 kms from the hotel. Martin returned at 1400 hours, Phuong stayed the night.

Papaya tree in the garden. The garden gave a lot of supplement to the food of the family in the form of vegetables and fruits.
Every house in Vietnam has a temple of sorts. Also the aunt.
It was a very wet day.

To save on electricity and gas, they did some cooking in the back years.

Banana trees in the garden is a cheap and nutritional addition to any foods.

He is a butcher and butchers about 5 pigs daily to make his living.

Typical, well composted and very tasty meal with a lot of healty stuff.

Martin likes the pumpkin seed. Good for stomach.

The uncle had a lot of string beans bushes in his garden.
The uncle, brother of Phuong's mother and his wife.

He had 8 beehives in his garden.

On Sunday January 26th, it was the last day in Haiphong.
