Very nice setup, excellent food and Phuong made spring rolls.
We embarked at Cho Cang Tau island, some 45 kms from HiPhong.

Outside our hotel, waiting for pickup.

We were the last ones to board the bus.

First a short stop to have a leak, and the rubbish were everywhere.

Her is our bus in the foggy conditions.

A pearl factory.

Which oysters they use to make cultivated pearls.

Big business in the big pearl shop.

Phuong at the shop.

Our guide spoke very unclear English.

How the make beads.

Inserting the starting pearl into the oysters.

Phuong at the counter. We didn't buy any.

Phuong and Martin in front of the company logo.

Time to embark.

Our ship. Video showing we are leaving the quay.

It was many cruise ships on the harbor.

They have Saigon beer (Martin's favorite), Hanoi beer and even Halong beer.

Our cabin. The bed was made for ViAnh as well. Sadly, she couldn't come.

Phuong at the railings.

Our sister ship.

Phuong peeling an orange with Martin's diving knife.

Another cruise ship.

Ti-Tot, the founder of the island where we stopped.

Martin and a nice mural.

Phuong down the stairs. It was very far to the top. We didn't take the hike.

The beach, but not nice in the fog.

Cave shop where Martin bought some glasses for MartinK.

Overlooking the beach.

Back at the boat where the guests were taught how to make spring rolls.

Phuong watching hers being cooked.

Hang, our tour guide, explaining the finer details for Vietnamese cooking.

For dinner, a 5 course meal, really good.

Dish no. 3), seafood on spit with baked oysters.

Phuong got a bottle of complimentary wine that she had for herself. Martin don't like wine.

On Wednesday January 22th, it was the only full day on board the ship.
