Booked in at WINGATE BY WYNDHAM * Hotel 2270 N. Germantown Parkway, Memphis TN Tel. (901) 386-1110 Spent most of the night watching the election on telly. Wednesday Nov 5th, was the day off and Martin visited Thursday Nov 6th, visit to Sun Studio, the birthplace of rock'n roll where Elvis recorded his first record, 18 year old. Graceland, the Elvis mansion. Beale Street – the main street of Blues. ”The seven wonders of the world I have seen, and many are the places I have been. Take my advice, folks, and see Beale Street first.” – W.C. Handy Friday Nov 7th, off to Nashville in bus. Approximately 4 hours drive. Checking in at Holiday Inn Select Opryland * 2200 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN, Tel. (615) 883-9770 Wild Horse Saloon – The Mecca of country music. Saturday Nov 8th, still in Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Opry Mills, a real American shopping center Grand Ole Opry – an American Radio institution, broadcasting since 25th October, 1925. Sunday Nov 9th, off to New Orleans, 9 hours drive. See route to the left. Planned arrival to LA QUINTA INN & SUITES NEW ORLEANS AIRPORT *** 2610 Williams Blvd, Kenner LA Tel. (504) 466-1401 At 2000 hours, off to the French quartier. Monday Nov 10th, we are boarding Carnival Fantasy. Picture below and the route to the left. 	Saturday Nov 15th, we returned from the sea Checked in at HOLIDAY INN DOWNTOWN SUPERDOME *** 330 Loyola Ave, New Orleans, LA Tel. (504) 581-1600 French Quarter – www.frenchquarter.com Sunday Nov 16th, Martin landed in Newark and stayed over till the next day. He stayed at Wyndham Garden Hotel Newark Airport at Newark, a lovely hotel with top service from a helpful bellboy. Monday Nov 17th, Martin visited Bjørg at Haddon twp. in NJ. Tuesday Nov 18th to 22nd, Martin visited Lionel in Washington DC. Saturday Nov 22nd, Martin was back to Tor at Princeton. Sunday Nov 23rd, Martin returned to Norway.

DEPARTURE Arrived at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen at 0835 hours. Scheduled departure time was 1105 and we actual took off at 1125hours. Arrival time at Newark, NJ, USA is 1400 hours local time. Then two hours to Memphis. The flight time was some 9 hours after changing planes at Newark..

Later this day, Tuesday Nov 4th, at 1530, we were due to land in Memphis and checked in at WINGATE BY WYNDHAM *** Hotel. Originally, we were to check in at Heartbreak Hotel for sentimental reasons. And it's election day in the USA so most of us watched the election on TV.
