Summing it all up.
| | The departure day from New Orleans. Martin jumps ship in Newark and will
stay over close to the airport.
|
The left, the bright glaring breakfast room for the dancers.
The clear, brisk morning sky outside the Holiday Inn. |
|
|
The picture behind the counter in the reception of the
HOLIDAY INN DOWNTOWN SUPERDOME
showing The Preservation Hall of New Orleans. The mural
across the driveway. The theme all over New Orleans is music. |
|
|
The city hall of New Orleans is across the hotel in
downtown. Martin and two friends sitting in the sun the
chilly morning of Sunday Nov 17th. Note the plaque in the background. |
|
|
On route to the airport. A typical street of New Orleans.
Highways are built all over the US. Here some new construction on the
highway to the airport. |
|
|
A fancy sculpture on in the lobby of
the airport of Newark.
The threesome from the trip, Roy, Martin and Bente. The
three of them spent a lot of time together, enjoying their time on the dance
floor, on the ship and at the set dinner at night. |
|
|
Another fancy highway construction seen from the air, just
after takeoff. At night, Martin booked into
Wyndham Garden Hotel Newark Airport next to Newark airport outside New York. We stayed in a similar
hotel while at Memphis. A
hotel Martin would like to visit another time. Recommended.
A
small snack before going to bed is in order. Buffalo Chicken
wings with a Pitcher of Draft Budweiser.
A small American snack. As most American food, very
tasty and calorie rich. |
|
The next day, Monday Nov 17, it was time for
visiting Bjørg, an old acquaintance from Norway. She lives in Haddon, NJ.
Tilbakestill is Norwegian and means Erase
and Start Over Again.
