Then it was off in a cab to the Rock'n Soul Museum.
This was our friendly driver, Mike. Around $50,- and some 17 miles. The
hotel is way out due to weakened Norwegian currency. |

Martin outside Memphis
Rock’n Soul Museum. It was
closed so Martin and Roy went accross the courtyard and into the FedEx
forum. It was an enormous indoor sport stadium and very
impressive. Here the front. FedEx has its headquarters world wide in
Memphis. |

The visiting teams to the Grizzly's at the FedEx forum.
Inside the forum itself. It was impressive. |
|
|
Martin is dwarfed inside the dome.
Outside in the hall, Jack Daniels is and was one of the
sponsors of the Grizzly's in Memphis. |

Inside the Memphis
Rock’n Soul Museum after our tour. A really inspiring experience and we
spen 90 minutes listening to the music and watching the exhibits.
Then it was off to Beale street
for some beers and a Jack Daniels in honor of the sponsor to the Grizzly's. |

An Obama fan the day after he was elected president in the
USA. Beale Street is regarded as the
most important places of the development in the history of blues. A very
pleasant experience. Another view of the Beale Street with
all its bars and music halls. |

Local street car or tram in the Main Street of Memphis, just
off the Beale street. National
Civil Rights Museum in the in the Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther

A local performer at the Spare Ribs house. Martin and Roy
had one each for lunch. The the right, the performer himself. |
|
|
Stax Museum of
American Soul Music was our next stop and to the left and right, you see
the Cadillac of Otis Redding in the museum. A fascinating visit, but to much
soul for Roy and Martin.

The board outside the Stax Museum and next door was the
recording studio, still operating today. Martin waiting for
the cab to take us back to the hotel after a strenuous and eventful day. |
