Jul 20 - Visiting Kran's mother and daughter
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click them. The weather in Norway and in Bangkok just now.

Kran is a very pleasing woman. She was friendly, sweet and gentle and really took good care of Martin. She is lovely. So Martin went to visit her daughter and mother. They live in Kamphaeng Phet, an hour's drive from Nakhon Sawan to the North.

To the left, breakfast in Nakhon Sawan at The Pimarn Hotel.

Outside the hotel, Buddha is omnipresent.

Our hotel and our room were at the second row from the top.

Klong Nam Lai is Krans city and they don't sell natural gas for their cars, so we filled up before leaving.

The Norwegian government hasn't managed to do anything for the environment. Thailand has plenty of gas driven cars and trucks.

Fancy row of pissoirs  at a local truck stop. No capacity problem here.

Typical landscape on the road from Nakhon Sawan were we stayed and Klong Nam Lai, where Kran's daugher Phaviki lives.

Nice trees along the road.

Buffalo alongside the road.

A resort close to the Klong Lan Nature Reserve. But no pool and not a candidate for Martin.

Underwater bridge in the rainy season.

Overwater bridge used during the rainy season.

Klong Lan Nature Reserve.

Nice Thais or people from Thailand. They are always friendly.

On the road to the waterfall.

Dense bush in the rain forest.

Martin and Kran.

Souvenir shops are everywhere. Also here.

Kran on the swing in front of the waterfall.

Martin and the waterfall.

Kran on her way back from the waterfall.

Martin and Kran on the stairs up to the parking lot where Kran's car is parked.

In the nature reserve, they have costumed designed the pissoirs.

On route to Klong Nam Lai, Kran's city.

Mom's shop, Phasuk in Klong Nam Lai.

Phaviki, Kran's daughter, Kran's mother and Kran herself. Happy threesome.

Mother and daughter studying the intricacies of Nutty, an electronic dictionary for Thai and English.

Old, retired couple at the beer hall where we stopped for a beer.

Martin likes beer and lots of it.

One of Phaviki's friends at the little shop and her half Japanese daughter.

Squashed Phaviki. She misses her mother very much.

Adoring Phaviki.

Phaviki and Martin made braids of Kran's beautiful hair.

Night sky along the route back.

Truck stop. Notice the gas tanks on the truck. Lots of vehicles in Thailand run on natural gas.

Last stop before heading back to Nakhon Sawan and the The Pimarn Hotel.

The next day, Wednesday July 21st, it was time to leave for Bangkok and Thai House Inn.
