We went with train to Tuy Hoa in the Phu Yen province.
Phu Yen province is part of what is called South Central Coast and Phu Yen
is province 34 on the map.
Late afternoon, off to the railway
station in Nha Trang. Here it is. Old colonial
style. |
Phuong and Martin waiting for the
train. Watching stand with junk food only. |
View to a monument outside the
train station. It takes time. |
Nice Vietnamese person that chatted
to us and took some pictures. The train station
with it tracks. |
Inside the train.
The train and its occupants. |
Harvested rice fields.
Phuong and her granddaughter Vianh arriving at the hotel. |

granddaughter, Vianh.
Phuong with shirt for Karel, MartinK's son.
Martin's steak, very nice and tasty. lovely
lunch. |
Vyanh's order. She ate
it all. Very modern shopping mall. You miss
nothing in Vietnam, except guns. Forbidden for inhabitants in a
dictatorship. |
Happy 3-some before
dinner. Hotpot. All the ingrediences laid out.
Put the water to boil and stuff the goodies into the pot in the middle. |
Family of 3. No
comments. You have the beers in a bucket with
ice and water. You drink what you want and leave the empties outside and pay
for what you drank. Easy. |
Sep 22nd,
on route to the pool.
All 3-some one the street, 10 minutes from the pool.
The cleaners in the pool. |
They wipe the shit in
one big heap on the bottom and then sucks it up. Cheaper than having
automatic pool cleaners. Happy 3-some after the
swim, shower, shampoo and shave. |
Lovely pool at 55
meters at its longest. The sea is just 50 meters
away. |
Vuanh is doing a
balancing act. Martin's lovely breakfast, Biff
Napoleon with baguettes. Just great and very tasty. |
Lyanh walking along the
pool after her swim. Martin having an itch
during lunch.
Phuong reaching for some apples above the pathway.
And a video. |
Back to the beach. One
of the locals have to let the pressure go. Vyan
and Martin on the beach. Watch the
beach video. |
Martin and Vyanh on the beach.
Martin really loves her present. A very smart, cheeky girl, not like
other Vietnamese.
Phouong and her granddaughter on the beach.
Martin loves them both. |
The wall protection the
resort and the swimming pool Martin uses. Martin is thoughtfully watching
the waves. The sound is very soothing.
Lone Vyanh on the beach. |
Long stretches of beach
and hardly anybody. The following day, Sep 23rd,
was a rainy day in Tuy Hoa. |
The sidewalk to the
pool, which we dropped due to rain.
Watch a rainy video. Back in town, we had a
nice time with a lovely bar lady. |
Phuong off to the
railway station of Tuy Hoa. Just waiting for the
train to take us back to Nha Trang. |
The tanker is filled
with many tons for fish oil or sauce. A freight
train is crossing with the passenger train. |
Rusty tracks, hardly
used. |
