We slept a lot and walked to town to try some fish from the Mekong river. Not nice.

Work site, not according to Norwegian safety standards.

The chicken coops on the building next door. You can listen to them here.

Lai and lovely flowers.

More flowers and Lai.

Lai says there are dragon fruit on this building.

Local spaghetti mesh of cables common to South-East Asia.

Lai not too happy with the fish.

The view from the fish restaurant.

Lai didn't like the fish from the Mekong river.

Martin wasn't too impressed either.

Vsith and his wife.

Visith, head of the national library of Laos.

Vsith is a smart  and educated man and told Martin about the history of Laos.

Lai and Martin is enjoying a beer at Vsith and his wife.

The school next door is having some Sunday activities.

On Monday November 7th, it was time for a long trip to Vang Vieng (Lao: ວັງວຽງ) which is a tourist-oriented town in Laos in Vientiane Province about four hours bus ride north of the capital. The town lies on the Nam Song River. The most notable feature of the area is the karst hill landscape surrounding the town, 160 kms North of Vientiane.
