We started the day with a swim, lovely breakfast, museum visit and dog meat for dinner.

Phuong and Martin getting ready for their early morning swim.

The pool looked good. Very little opacity, indication good, but not very good sand filters and/or chemical balance in the water.

Phuong ready to swim.

The main restaurant with a lovely buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The counter for eggs and soups. Worth a try.

The main buffet. Phuong in the background.

Phuong at the breakfast table.

Giang at the reception. One that speaks good English. The others barely speaks English.

Phuong is posing in the lobby.

She looks nice.

Victory hotel that refused my 55 year old girlfriend to stay with me. I told them a lie and said she will sleep on the street. What morons.

The War Remnants Museum. This is the Mother of the deads.
Remnants mean something material, not mental. The name of the museum is wrong.

FN (Fabruque National) rifles in cal .308 left overs from the French.

The BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) from 1918 that Martin also used during his military service in 1966. Heavy but good and in cal 30-06 from 1906 when the caliber was adopted.

Some really nice pleasure dissipators. Thompson in cal .45 ACP.

Vietnam's national day is April 30th. The reason is what happened 44 years ago.

Martin among American airplanes.

The M60 machne gun. Most used by the US military throughout the world.

Martin with the Phantom F5 jet fighter.

A little bit about the countires that fought on the Ameerican side in the War. Thailand was one of them.

A few bazookas, nice to have if the neighbor don't behave.

The War Musum and Martin.

Some of the nice stuff that the American dropped on Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Phuong with the Phantom F5, the most common jet used in the Vietnam War.

Various American planes used.

Martin in the shop buying T-shirts and caps for the folks back home.

Phuong outside the Museum

And Martin.

The M48 tank and its track. Impressive, even today.

Martin taking a walk on the museum grounds.

Details about the M48 tank above.

Som airplanes and Martin.

Impressive double-decker.

A nice Gatling gun, cyclic rate 10 rounds a second.

Another old American tank, the M41, old fashinoned.

The M107 175mm artillery piece. Hee are the details.

Interlocking rotor blades. It works.

Phuong and the M107. Details above.

Martin and the big 175 mm M107 artillery piece.

Martin and a M48 tank.

After a rather depressing musekum visit. nice with a beer on the street.

Beautiful Phantom F5.

Martin and an 69 years old Vietnamese that has lived in Italy for 35 years.

He was honest, he remembered Apr 30th, 1975, but didn't want to talk about it. Logical, smart guy.

Tonight, we go to Truong Dog Meat Restaurant, 189/1B Cung Quỳnh, Ho Chí Minh, Vietnam. Here Phuong has just woken after a breakfast nap. Life is great.

Phuong and Martin in their Norwegian T-shirts to celebrate May 1st.

Our favorite dog restaurant. Martin was here 3 years ago.

Martin thought this was beer, but it was tea. Very popular in Vietnam.

Roasted whole dog. Too much for Martin

The couple, the dog cookers.

The dog soup kettle is always on.

Martin ordered dog ribs. Nice, but the dog had gone much uphill before being slaughtered.

Martin with the menu.

One dog rib going down.

Martin at the back of the restaurant that was full. Dog is popular in Vietnam.

Martin on the only vacant table in the restaurant.

Phuong and Martin at the bar in their Norwegian T-shirts celebrating May 1st.

Back at the hotel, a quick drink at the Lobby Bar.

On Thursday May 2nd, it was time to go back to Nha Trang.
