    Another lovely week with Phuong.

The day started out with a visit to a book store to buy Martin a laser pointer.

Nice lady that sold Martin the pointer.

In the evening, we went to Kay's BBQ next to Crazy Kims.

We brought our own pineapple.

Martin at Cheap Cheap Food. Inside this time.

Snotty, unpleasant Chinese chicks. The Chinese are like locust descending on Vietnam. The Vietnamese regards them as the big bad brother.

Apr 19th:
We went to Nam's restaurant. Here is 2 liters of beer. Just over one USD for the lot. That is cheap.

All the beer tasted piss poor. Sourly, fruity taste. The worst one was pink one. You cannot call this beer.

The ribs were very tasty, but overdone, to the border of charred.

This is clearly overdone. It is black. The restaurant should consider the cancer risks of this. This is in part down to one particular molecule that forms when food is cooked at high temperatures, known as acryl amide.

The vegetables that followed had this red stuff, Martin thought was tomato. But it was red, hot burning chilly. Nothing for a westerners.

Martin may visit again, just for fun. They didn't have chopsticks and no Soya sauce. But the staff was very efficient and spoke very good English, a rarity in Vietnam these days.

But when the charge you 300 000 VND in cork fee if you bring decent beers, It is usurper. It is almost 11 USD. This is bad.

Barbecues and charred meat: Some research suggests that burnt or charred meat may increase the risk of cancer. Substances called heterocyclic amines are formed in foods that are cooked at high temperatures and blackened or charred. In animal studies, heterocyclic amines are carcinogenic (cancer causing).

Across the street, some 50 meters away, the ladies are practicing yoga.

There were 4 of them.

On Wednesday April 24th, it was time for the last week of April in 2019.
