but OK: Fantastic foods of Vietanam. |
Hook fixed. Dave explaining
places to visit to get a good
beer. Here is a different version. It
is a MP4-version. The electricity meters showed
1028,6 kwh. |

Martin tried to fix his watch.
Here are some scribbling inside the watch. |

Vivian or Ving in Vietnamese, is a waitress that speaks good English. |
Fancy, John Lennon glasses.
Martin at Quan69 beer hall. Quite unique. |
Nice Vietnamese with a shitty
woman. Note the uncorked, one liter plastic
bottle. |
The half liter up close. One USD
for a liter. Not a bad price :-) |
April 3rd:
Rules about the swimming pool. Nothing about shower first.
Assistant Front Desk Manager giving Martin tickets worth 36 USD.

And Nam at TechCom Bank. |
Martin is on the third floor of the
building. Looking down is a nice restaurant.
Phuong doing homework. |
Martin went to a spare rib
restaurant and tasted this horrible, rose beer from Saigon. The restaurant
is LIVINcollective, 77 Bạch Đằng, Tân Lập, Thành phố Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa.
Famous for its ribs Fish restaurant on the
pavement. |
This pink beer at LIVINcollective
was just like dishwater. But the spare ribs
lived up to their reputations. Recommended. |
The Pizza Company is also in
Vietnam. Another fish restaurant. |
Alley Cafe.
Phuong and Nga or Rikki at Alley Cafe. |
On the way back home, Martin took
photos of some hotels to get orientated.
Sunshine hotel. |
Apus hotel.
Dix hotel. |
April 4:
Martin went condo-hunting. In this massive block, 40 stories high, Martin
found 2 condos. Very nice both, but too big for Martin.
The standard was very high. Here is the
bathroom. |
Bedroom. Watch the
video of the flat.

very nice video.

Ready to go out. Huong with Martin's
Norwegian T-shirt.
She looks
cute in it. |
Martin and Huong. In the evening we went to Nam
restaurant and had
wild pig or boar for supper. Nom Nuong và Bia hoi, Lô 29 , Tran
Nhat Duat noi dai,
telephone: 0702 79 18 79. |
This is a typical street restaurant
with all the tables on the pavement. The toilets were very nice and clean. The lovely
owner Nam, with a too lovely cleavage. Very distracting for male customers. |
Martin with the raw materials.
Martin waiting for the hotplate to turn hot. Gas fired. |
Nam, her friend and her 8 month old
baby boy. Huong serving Martin the wild pig. |
On the menu, you have kimchi or mak kimchi,
made with cut cabbage, radish, and scallions and a seasoned paste of red
pepper, garlic, ginger, sugar, and fish sauce, salted shrimp, or kelp
powder. This is strong stuff.
Martin asked for "not spicy" and the kimchi
was taken out. But they sprinkled the raw meat with chilly powder, making it
borderline hot for Westerners. Remember, always say "no chilly" in addition
to "not spicy". How to get from the
Railway Station of Nha Trang to Nam's restaurant. |
April 7th:
Outside Crazy Kom's where Martin will be teaching English.
Inside a rather primitive class room. The TV is very old. |
Tiger beer, not Lite. |
