This morning was one of the few during our stay. Usually, April is very hot.
This year it was not, even though the temperature reached 36 at its highest.
Rainy city. |
Wet veranda with the water dripping off the rails. Kran and
Martin having a rather misty breakfast on the veranda on the 12th floor. |
Rubbish bins in yellow are very well recognized.
Kran shopping. |
Looking for beers. Looking surprised. |
This last day of
Songkran
(สงกรานต์), the traditional Thai
New Year water festival, is hopeless. Everyone and everything get splashed
with water and white flour. Some of the splashers from the
back of a pick-up truck. And they were many. |
More splashers in action. After picking up
Pawika and Weena, it was time to go back to the condo. Stern Pawika doesn't
know what to think. |
The sisters, Weena 31 and Kran 43 in the condo's kitchen.
Ready to go for a swim. Weena is wearing a swim suit used 100 years ago in
Europe and the USA: |
Pawika enjoying a swim. All 3 in the pool.
Weena cannot swim and Kran tries to teach her how to. Hard task. |
Kran in the foreground with Pawika and Weena in the
background. In the evening we went to the favorite Korean
barbeque restaurant, Seyshuon. But they had a
horrible music. Nice girl
with no English knowledge. |
The starting point of the evening, a clean
cooking pot. Martin and Kran in their evening shirts. |
Martin proudly showing off the empty cooking
pot. Basically, it turned out to be a lovely, self-made fish soup.
The bare, red coals left that is given to the next customer. |
The restaurant was full, and the fruit
disappeared very fast. Here is the fruit that never was when Martin tried.
The music was horrible. Listen ! |
