Dec26 - Boat trip with the church crowd
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click them. The weather in Norway and in Bangkok just now.

A full days boat trip was on the books for this day.

The reverse or Eastern side of SurfBeach hotel, Martin's last stop in Thailand for this time.

Lovely soup for breakfast.

Then off to the boat on a scooter.

Christer, a happy Swede and Martin waiting for our boat to arrive.

Happy Christer and Martin.

Jan and his girlfriend Nooi.

Martin up the wrong ladder on the ship.

Gunnar with a heavy hangover and his girlfriend.

There were 45 participants on this trip.

Hansi, the tour organizer collection the fee, some 1100 baths or some € 40,00.

Martin relaxing on board.

Gunnar hangover and his lovely Thai girlfriend, Ming.

The wake of the boat as we leave Pattaya harbor.

Para gilders are all over the sky in the bay.

The Point with an old light house.

The skyline of Jomtien South of Pattaya.

Martin content with his beer and sun.

The bar on board is very well organized.

The participants.

The Chang brothers. Gunnar with his classic and 6,4% and Martin with his light with 4,2%.

Christer on board.

The front of the ship with some flowers for Buddha.

Preparing the lunch.

The bar lady did a good job.

Nice island.

Singing Christmas carols praising the snow is a little bit untimely Martin thinks. Gunnar and his girlfriend Ming.

Nice boat next door.

Lovely palm trees lined up.

Divers on the beach doing a little bit of practicing diving.

Sexy Kran make Martin feel warm.

Nice swim the sea.

Martin enjoys the water.

Another tourist boat.

Martin enjoying his beer.

Martin fooling around with Kran.

Per the priest and Lasse from Sweden. His pictures you can see here. The priest held a very predictable sermon on the boat.

The skyline of Pattaya.

Martin going ashore on his sore feet.

Martin limping along to a taxi to get to the hospital, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Very good and efficient. Highly recommendable.

It took 5 minutes after Martin arrived till he was an a hospital bed, including checking in time.

Getting vitals checked after 5 minutes.

Not bad, resting pulse of 72 and blood pressure 101/50 is good for a an old man.

Then waiting for the doctor for another 10 minutes.

The doctor made a short assessment and went away for another 15 minutes.

In the meantime, this lovely nurse prepared Martin's leg for Dr. Sathit Ruangpetch, and efficient and quiet doctor. But he could smile more.

Since the equipment was there, Kran checked her vitals a well. Blood pressure was 99/57, very good.

The emergency ward. Neat and clean as it should be.

The doctor at work with Martin's feet.

Martin all dressed up.

Martin is ready to go.

Wheel chairing was great fun in the hallways of the hospital.

At the reception, they had information in English and Norwegian of all things. Veeeeeeeery good service for a Norwegian. This hospital is highly recommended to all Norwegians in the Pattaya area.

The final bill paid.

Martin had to come back for his receipt. The clerk shown here phone Martin while Martin was waiting for a taxi. The whole ordeal at the hospital took roughly an hour. Compare this to the emergency ward in Oslo where you had to wait for more than 2 hours even before you could see a doctor. The Norwegians have something to learn for this great hospital.

Back to the hotel for mantis shrimps or rock prawns as they are called at this restaurant.

A little pricy, so Martin opted for 3 of them.

Very taste and very much like lobster, but cheaper. A nice, healthy, low calorie meal. Try it.

The next day, Monday December 27th, it was time to nurse Martin's wounded feet.
