Summing it all up.

Dec 4 - first full day in Kamphaeng Phet
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click them. The weather in Norway and in Bangkok just now.

In Kamphaeng Phet, Kran, Pawika and Martin had a lovely day with swimming, computers and sightseeing at Wat Phra Nan, an UNESCO declared site.

To the left, Kran and daughter Pawika is ready for the pool.

At the pool, ready to jump in.

Kran has finished her swim. Time for breakfast.

Nice bridge on the way back to the room.

All the room names taken from places in Europe.

At the breakfast table.

Entrepreneur Teera Tachayapong and the owner of Scenic RiverSide Resort. Seen here with the article of March 25th 2010 in Bangkok Post. You can read it here. It is very enlightening.

The game section of Teera's kitchen area where he serves the breakfast for his guests.

Teera with his slogan, One life, live it! This is a good one.

Pawika with one of the local, filthy cats. Not healthy to play with them.

Bunee, the Tuc-tuc driver that dropped his mother at Teera's place for unknown reasons.

Kran and Pawika having her pulse taken.

Kran is skipping, but she really hasn't gotten the hang of it.

Martin in the room, decorated with children's toys, a reflection of Teera the owner's love for kid. After all, he is qualified as a medical doctor in the field of pediatrics. See article above.

Busy Teera. He is doing almost all the work himself.

Martin with happy Tax, a restaurant owner.

Tax is an old English teacher and try to teach Pawika to count.

Bye to Tax for now. He smiles from ear to ear. Impressive.

Eat Fish! The name of Tax's restaurant. Not a bad one.

Pawika and Kran.

Pawika outside Tax's restaurant that served excellent fish.

Off to Wat Phra Non, a national park. Local rubbish bin seen here.

Wat Phra Non, comprising a large group of ancient monument, was laid out in a rectangular plan

Kran and Martin at the entrance of the ruins.

Nice setup.

Columns all over the place.

Big trees are plentiful.
Pawika outside one of the hallways.

Pawika in the ruins.

Columns that once supported a roof, long gone. The ruins are some 300 years old.

The main construction of the complex. It has been partially rebuilt.

A very divine, tranquil forest is surrounding the ruins. Very peaceful.

More ruins.

Tree grown up in the middle of the ruins.

Martin and Kran on top of one of them.

Kran and Pawika with the latter's car in the background portraying a big N for Norway.

Martin and Kran saying a prayer for Buddha. He is a nice fellow.

Kran and Martin in front of the Buddha draped in yellow in honor of the King's birthday on Dec 5th.

Kran and Pawika praying in front of the yellow draped Buddha?

Trying to get Martin's nails clipped was more problematic than anticipated. Here seen outside a beauty shop that did not do nails.

Back at Scenic RiverSide Resort, we are welcomed by the to rabbits in the entrance.

At night time for a visit to a nice riverside restaurant, Maeping.

The fish soup that Kran and Pawika ate was far too hot and spicy for Martin to consume.

The had special promotions for the beers Chang seen here, Singha and Heineken.

Man spelled in Thai is ชาย.

Kran is sleeping on the floor next to Kran's and Martin's bed.

She fell asleep early this day.

The next day, Sunday December 5th, it was time for more sight-seeing in the Kamphaeng Phet area.
