Summing it all up.

To the left, on the way to an early beach visit.

Martin with his new rucksack, strolling along to the beach. The rucksack is a model from the early 60-ties.

The Bad Boys at the beach. They ripped you off on beds and rum and coke

Eli sending a mail to her X, Anders and her daughters Marthe and Thea.

The beach towards the South from our spot.

And the beach to the North. Martin tried to cover some distance on these stretches.

One of the Bad Boys in front of his flag,

The hotel we stayed at, Hacienda del Caribe, an old fashion hotel with its own charm.

Bad Boys' glasses of plastic were very big and nice to drink from. Here is Martin with his local brew, the Corona beer.

And Eli's with her long drink. After a while she switched to white wine, her favorite.

Eli has an artistic flair and love the lovely bed with the very decorative head boards. The sun is a central icon of the Mayan culture.

Martin having a beer on his favorite bed.

Mucisians are all over the place offering their service to anyone that wants to pay for it.

In the evening, Eli and Martin went visiting a May village with sauna and a dip in fresh water caves.

The circle of fire was the starting point. In the fire they had 13 stones to be used in the sauna.

The priest performing the ritual from the classic period of the Mayan culture. This was from 200 to 900 AD.

Then the individual was cleansed before entering the sauna where the hot rocks were brought in. The persons were supposed to form a cross, representing, water, soil, fire and heaven.

The simple home of the Mayans. Here is the hammock where the a family of three could sleep.

The next day, Wednesday February 1st, it was time for a trip at sea on a catamaran or two hulled ship.
