Summing it all up.

The day started out windy and rainy, but turned out to be nice with sunny skies
and very little wind
|
To the left, the breakfast table at the hotel as seen from
our indoor balcony on the third floor. To the
left, the waitress that never smiles. Old Grumpy we call her. |
|
|
On to the beach just some 500 meters away. Not many steps on
the odometer (step counter). Pedro, our friendly
beach boy for the day, giving us beds for the day, bringing us beers and of
course, charging us for everything. |
|
|
This sunny day, it was a cruise ship in the horizon.
By some fluke idea, Martin wanted Eli to take a
few photos of Martin snorkeling. It was wise. Half an hour later, Martin was
hit by a freak wave, knocked his goggles and snorkel out of his hands. |
|
|
The goggles were bought in February 1974 for a scuba course
Martin took in the Oslo fiord. The water temperature was 40 in
the water, but wet suits did the trick. Sad loss of dear friends for 34
years. Then it's better on the beaches of Playa
del Carmen where the air temperature is some 280 Centigrade. |
|
|
Eli drinking the Mexican Corona beer in a sock with a lime
stuck into the mouth of the bottle. Martin
having a tan. It starts helping after a day in the sun. |
|
|
During the second swim of the day, Martin met a nice
Austrian, Heinrich. Here you see him and his lovely wife Cecilie from
Madrid, Spain. This was also their first trip to Mexico.
Last look at the cruise ship as we leave the beach after the sun has settled
behind the beach hotels. |
|
|
Eli's empty beer bottles as we leave.
Are you in the business of getting divorced? Here are some ideas. |

The next day, Tuesday Feb 6, it was
time for another boat trip.
