We left at 1130 to Mau Son.

Our hallway outside room 809.

Another misty day in Lang Son.

The dining room was enourmous.

And the food very good, but they didn't have any ice at 2200 at night.

Old fortification in the middle of the city.

City streets.

Martin tried to buy suspenders, in vain. One of the many shops visited.

Phuong taking pictures.

In the city was an amazing cave system.

It contained a Taoist temple for good measures.

The lighting was very effective in various colors.

Phuong and Martin inside.

This is when the temple was build.

The main hall.

Phuong and Martin saying hello.

The river ran through the whole cave. Watch the video.

Inside the cave, Phuong and Martin.

Strange violet light.

Made a very eerie effect.

Phuong and one of the stalactites.

Really eerie colors.

Phuong and one of the many drip stones.

They were impressive.

Phuong and Martin on the bridge.

The story behind the cave and temple.

Off to Dao son. Unfortunately, a misty day with a little bit of drizzle. Watch the video.

A long winded road up the mountain side at 1543 meters above sea level.

Chicken for sale.

This boy wanted 1,3 Mill dongs or more than 50 USD for this skinny chicken.

Martin and Phuong at the miserable joint on the top of the mountain at Dau Son village.

Some communist 5-years plan.

It was chilly and misty so Phuong looked like a Muslim brat.

Phuong went shopping never the less.

Back in Lang Son, time for lunch.

A very nice restaurant that we visited the day before.

We had chicken hotpot and even Phuong ate some.

It was delicious and Martin had ordered extra pineapple so it was a sweetish taste to it.

On Tuesday November 17th, it was time to go Sapa House Hotel.
