Map of Thailand.

Summing it all up.

We were due to leave at 0915 local time from Phuket International airport. But we left at 2135 hours, more than 12 hours late.

To the left, flats are build for resale and investment. Worth it?

To the right, main street of Karon. Martin went for a walk, trying to buy a beer condom, really needed in the heat of Thailand.

Unique to Thailand is the count down counter in seconds. 50 seconds usually. Red and green digits, depending on the situation.

Alcoholism is a big problem in Thailand due to the very low prices taken on hard tack. € 12,- for a liter of imported hard tack. Half the price for local produce.

The Karon Village hotel is run by a family. This is the patriarch in the shop that day.

At long last arrived the bus for the airport. The announced delay was at this time 8 hours. On the bus, we were told there was an additional 3 hours delay that in the end added up to 12 hours.

At the airport, the check-in went reasonable fast.

The waiting area. We were well fed during the 5 hours we had to wait here. But they did not cell any beer condoms.

The official delay notice on the food counter.

Martin became a bit nutty because of the long wait.

Sunset while waiting for departure.

The next day, March 26th, we landed in Norway after a delay of 11 hours in Thailand.
