Map of Thailand.

Summing it all up.

After a six hour delay, we finally arrived in Thailand. All 399 of us.

To the left, Phuket International Airport like most others.

To the right. Something you never avoid, endless passport queues. They even took your digital photo here and put it into your passport.

A 90 minutes trip dragged out to 120 minutes due to traffic congestion due to closed roads.

At the entrance of Phuket Ocean Resort, not much, but surprisingly nice hotel.

You felt the atmosphere when inside. Very friendly reception. This is one of them. She knew her job. They even had wireless Internet at the hotel, but unfortunately for Martin, the coverage in his room wasn't good enough for any communication. On Wednesday, Martin realized he was to use a cable for his Internet. And it worked at 750 KBits per second. Not too bad.

Martin's room, 3517 up the hillside.

The view from the veranda. Very nice and neat flower arrangements.

The main pool, close to a full 25 meters long. Martin will test it out.

The sign of the hotel at night.

The streets of Karon beach. Have a look at where it is on the island of Phuket.

The restaurant had their fish outside on the pavement. Just for you to chose what you wanted. Martin went for duck breast. Nice.

Due to the humidity in Thailand, all beers served have a sock around them to keep them cold. Cute trick.

The next day, Wednesday March 12th , it was the first full day in Thailand. With a lovely breakfast with all the nice  trimmings of Thailand.
