Map of Thailand.

Summing it all up.

Traveling unspecified means that you have to move if the tour operator says so. And this time they did moving Martin some 3km further down the road.

To the left, last look at Martin's room at Ocean View Resort.

To the right, the bellboy with Martin's trusty rucksack.

There are a lot of vulgar fat Scandinavians in  Thailand. This is one.

Hardly making it back to look at the menu to boost his already bloated guts.

Last view of the lovely pool where Martin had a lot of happy meters of swimming. Close to 20 000 meters during the stay.

Arriving at room 64, very apt, because Martin turned 64 the next day.

The reception of Karon Village Hotel. An OK hotel with no frills.

The pool at Karon Village wasn't as big as the one at Ocean View, but adequate.

Another pool view. The first day, it was no time to test it out, but Martin will.
A practical way of using old used tires. As flower pots. Good idea.

The Scandinavians are making up the majority of guests at the hotel. Here seen the flags, the Norwegian one to the far left.

The beloved king of Thailand, always shown as a 40 year old man even though he is well pasted 80. He took over the crown in 1946, just after the war.

The street outside the hotel. Not much of a view.

A South African, married to a Thai woman, runs this bar with his wife. The Coconut Bar. His name is Jack and his bar is named the Coconut Bar at 391 Patak Rd, Karon. Land-line 076-286517.

Su, a masseuse, has a few tricks up her sleeve. Phone her at 086-9416723.

A smiling Su. Really a nice girl.

From the left, Su, Sten from Denmark that knew Su from before and Martin at Christer's restaurant.

Saying goodbye to Sten the Dane, that spends 6 moths a year here in Thailand. A lot of Scandinavians do.

Christer's restaurant, a little bit pricey according to Sten. The T-shirs of http://www.2getherguesthouse.com/

Again a family joint. This is Christer's wife and child. Even Christer's Mom popped up later at night.

An overview of Christer's restaurant. A very tasteful place. Worth a visit, even at high prices.

The tsunami memories are strong. These signs are everywhere.

Next door shop to the Karon Village Hotel. Nice example of Thai mother and daughter.

A short farewell interview with Maurice (pronounced Morris), the son of a French sailor and born in 1943.

The next day, Wednesday March 19th, it was time for a two day boat trip, the so called Paradise Trip Poda, a trip to Krabi.
