Summing it all up.

TanyasPhotos

Christmas eve was chilling with a cold Northern wind blowing us in the face on a cool sundeck.

My favourite Danish shoes that I got from my buddy Geo that you see to the right.

Tanya and Dad looking for a sun tan in the windy sun deck.

Tanya properly dressed with a big wind breaker protecting her from the chilling wind.

After some minutes, it was time for proper wind clothes with jacket and fur hat. Nice for the Nile in December.

Having a beer with big mittens seemed the only proper thing to wear while having an ice cold beer.

And the cabin attendants always made nice figures of our towels.

A guided tour of the boat didn't show us much. The bridge is not too impressive.

The barrage, a sort of rubbish filter, and the old bridge over the Nile.

Here it is, but closed to traffic due to all the cruises on the Nile.

Further downstream, the water locks, but too few. They are making an additional one.

The one working water lock which takes two ships at a time.

The water lock is closing.

And opening in the other end.

A local crow begging for food.

Nice afternoon tea under the sun roof with a lot of warm clothes.

The sunset over Esna.

The map over Esna barrage and how it its in relation to Luxor.

Jorunn and Tanya at the Christmas Eve party for which we paid a fortune and got nothing additional to speak of.

Martin, Andrea and Berit from Bodø. Adrea is Berit's daughter and the picture is taken in the bar after the Christmas dinner.

Tanya, Kjell and Jorunn in the bar after the dinner.

Tanya next to her Dad in the bar just before an early retiring to the bed.

The next day, we stayed over at Luxor after arriving there the night before.
