Not much of a celebration. A salmon at the Odin restaurant was
all. Glad to avoid it.
To the left, Martin's pool, some 15 meters long but good
enough to get a 1000 meter or two. This morning, Martin managed 1500 meters.
For breakfast, Martin went to
Pride of Ayia Napa, the restaurant from the night before without any
dinner. Closes the food serving at 2300 hours. Martin was there too late.
Their menu was enormous and Martin was slobbering over what
to have for dinner. Then he ordered an English breakfast with most of the
stash.
A new twist to the coffee. You get it in powder form.
Hygienically and practical for the restaurant so they don't have any
troubles serving tea or coffee. Smart.
Martin had his pedometer with him, counting steps during his
walk. 4600 step so far after a 1500 meters swim.
The main
street had an abundance of local and international restaurants and pubs.
Most of them hardly 20% filled. Very fierce competition to survive.
The property moguls and sharks are already here. Opened shop
in 1974 after the Turkish invasion.
Martin enjoying a
Guinness at Paddy's Pub. An Irishman, I presume.
Odin restaurant run by Norwegians dressed for the evening
celebrations. Set menu is Norwegian boiled salmon and strawberries for
dessert. Martin plans to be there.
At night, Martin was back
for a nice plank steak at Odin. Nice place.
Rudi from Rhodos was there as well. Can hardly remember
him.
Dyke convention in town. The girls are carrying a 2
meter rubber dick. That all they get. Rubber dicks.
Pride of Ayia Napa has a very impressive toilette and ditto stairs.
Jody with her fancy T-shirt serving guest. Catchy tattoo as well.
The next day, May 18, it was time for
a trip to the ghost town of Famagusta.
