This was the hottest day so far, topping 300C in the shade. And we took a trip with the green train, as opposed to the red train. That for another day.

These trains were going all day to different part of the island. This is the sign for the Red Train.

We ended up on the green one seen to the right.

Cynfrig, from Wales, Dave and his wife Anne in front of us.

Up the hill towards the war memorial from WWII when in 1941, the Germans invaded the island.

On the highest top around with the war memorial.

May B and Martin T in front of the memorial.

Here is the plaque set up in 1991 by the Greek prime minister at the time.

And some more details. Click for details.

Nice view of the olive gardens that are spotted all around the country side.

And the rest place where they have a pond for water storage.

And nice it was.

Looked more like a mash land if you ask me.

But tranquil and very pleasant.

May be from the inside of the restaurant area that was pleasant cool.

And a fish pond.

Outside our pleasant train, picture taken by Cynfrig. (The 'f' is prononced as a 'v' I was told.)

Cynfrig and Anne.

Bridge made during WWII.

And white tree trunks for scion of new plant onto them.'

A nice house we passed in a hurry.

And the much talked about, Red Train that we will take next time around.

And the beach with a fancy name, BUBA. :-))

The next day, we lazed around the beach and enjoyed the nice weather. Hot and sunny.
