An excursion to the Yandabo Village with at briefing of daily Burmese life in the afternoon.

Leaving our trusted boat and walked to the village.

Here we tried our hand on a local game, getting a wooden ball in a hole in the ground. There were 9 holes to chose from.

The village was known for their pottery making skills. These are burned.

This lot is not, being sun dried before being burned.

Rows and rows of rejected clay pots. They were used as building material.

Bottom of making ovens for cooking.

The raw material, the clay.

Turning the wheel to make the clay spin so they could make the pots.

Selection of posts for sale.

Waiting to dry in the sun.

As we walked out of the pottery village, we ended up in a wedding.

Here are the groom and bride ready for their big day.

The bride was lovely.

Pots being transported on the head and under the arms.

Local sun panel to get light.

It charged a standard car battery.

The raw material is actually very hard and has to be softened up.

Pot making in action.

More pots waiting to be processed.

Pots being transported out of the village to the market.

Final touches.

Local pot transportation.

On Wednesday November 22nd, it was time to visit Ava or Innwa by horse chart.
