The train has arrived Saigon. The front locomotive goes to the end and get
turned around on a
turn table. |
We had 3 hours to spare. Seen here outside the railway station in Saigon.
Firs we had a nice, Vietnamese lunch at the bus station. |
A lot of people and busses going
every where in Vietnam. People queuing up for
their bus. |
Phuong found the bus leaving 15
minutes early. She is having a sore shoulder. |
For Martin, it was narrow. Just
manage to squeeze in-between the two rows of beds.
After 90 minutes, time for a toilet brake or whatever. |
Relaxing outside the stop.
Time to enter the bus. |
You are barefooted in the bus. When
we stop, we get shoes to use. The driver's
cabin. Nice, big bus. |
But it is narrow for Martin with
his big tummy. Our hotel in Can Tho,
Vinpearl
hotel. |
First thing we did, was sending our
passports off to Vung Tau.
View from our room. The hotel has 33 floors, we
stayed at the 16th floor. |
The lobby is very
impressive. The rooms are always nice. Here is
the glass looking into the bathroom. |
It rained for a bit,
making the air fresher. In the evening, we went
for dinner on this floating restaurant. |
Phuong and Martin in
their colorful travel shirts. Martin had grilled
snapper, but it is more liked boiled fish since you eat it from the inside
out. |
Phuong and Martin at
the reeling. Another photo. |
Back at the hotel we
met this nice gentleman at the hotel.
Vinpearl
hotel Can Tho. He spoke very good English
and had a very nice, forthcoming and honest behavior. Nice man to talk to. |
It was a very interesting and good
conversation. Martin met him later at the pool bar on the 6th
floor. |
