An active and interesting day in Houston.

Our second day in Houston was as nice as the first one.

We are off to the Johnson Space center. Martin was here on March 23rd, 2010. Have a look.

Our eminent tour boss, Sidsel is giving instructions over the comm.-system in the bus.

Martin and Astrid outside one of the stands.

Out for a bus ride.

The space shuttle is impressive.

So is the trolley train taking us around the compound.

The Saturn rocket that took everything to the moon.

The control center.

We were getting a nice briefing.

The new control center. The old one is in the floor above.

The workers still worked on Saturdays.

Mercury details.

And details about the engine itself.

The Saturn rocket. Martin has been there before.

The American flag is impressive on the Saturn rocket.

The rocket boosters are enormous.

Martin with the Apollo 13 crew. Tom Hanks is missing. We got a problem.

The space shuttle in the distance.

The rocket is pointing sky high.

The International Space Center.

One of the Russian space modules.

The working and training area for the astronauts.

Here they train.

Details of the training area.

Back to our trolleys.

The oak trees in memorial of the fallen and dead astronaut. A very good idea.

The rocket stand.

The Enterprise Space Shuttle.

The belly of the Enterprise.

Leonardo DeVincy had his own stnad.

One of Leonardo's machine gun inventions.

The explanations of the gun ship.

Back on the High Way.

A monumental building in downtown Houston.

One of Leonardo's early flying machine designs.

Back on the impressive high way system of Houston.

Nice roads.

Off to Galleria, but no gun shop.

The ice rink on the bottom level.

Astrid, Brit and Martin waiting to be seated.

Astrid and Martin.

Brit with her beers.

Astrid and Martin shared a plate. More than enough for two.

The beers where very nice.

The name of the place and aptly so.

The stretched Hummer limousine used as a brothel is standard in Houston.

It was parked outside the Galleria shopping center.

The next day, Sunday October 27th, it was time to leave Houston and go to SAN ANTONIO with GRUENE and the RIVER WALK.
