To the left, Marin's roommate, Mathias. Nice young bloke
from Sweden. To the right, Martin's room with his red
swimming trunks can be seen. |
Our lovely Swedish tour guide taking us to the orientation
meeting at Palm Beach. A view of the road to the meeting.
Typical. |
And the stage is set with the Mediterranean in the back
ground. In the back, the Turkish flag is proudly fluttering
in the breeze. |
Having an expensive beer. Six local lira, or € 3,- is too
much. At the hotel it's four. City view from the beech. |
And the street outside the hotel with no name on the front.
And the local beer is always good. The one to the left is two lira and the
one the the right is 2,50 lira or €1,25. Makes out to 5 lira a liter
or NOK 20,-. Not cheap, since the cheapest Norwegian beer is NOK 25,-. |
Back from the orientation, it was time for the barkeeper to
try out Martin's hat. It suited him. And this is the
official entrance of our hotel in Antalya. |
Then it was time for a trip to the castle from the 12th
century.
And our Turkish guide is willingly chatting away,
explaining this that and the other. |
One of the castle's walls still standing.
And a pine tree, very much like the local ones we find in Norway. |
A ruin of an old church, parts of the dome is still
standing. And more castle walls. |
A view from the top. And a lovely braid on a
very cute Russian girl, holidaying with her father. The New-Rich Russians. |
A peninsula sticking out into the Mediterranean.
A cute coned tree of some sorts. |
Martin on top of the castle with the Mediterranean in the
background. Then time for some cave watching. The entrance
here to the right. |
According to the story, Cleopatra and Antonious used to
frolic here during their reigns. Martin alongside a droopy
stone in the cave. |
View of the beach outside the cave. And some
fatties on the beach. |
And to end the tour, a Turkish breakfast at 1600 hours. Very
nice and not fatty. Waiting for the bus with one of the
locals. |
