Our trip to U-Tapao airport.

This is the complete trip as planned.

The first stop was the Golden Buddha carved into mountain side.

A local shrine or temple was there.

The Thais love their Buddha.

Lai is getting her phone fixed.

Martin and Lai in front of the mountain.

The mountain in all its glory.

The rocks at the foot of the mountain. And a video to boot.

Arriving at U-Tapao Inteernational Airport.

Some dark clouds in the horizon.

The entrance area had a unique design to it.

Not many people inside.

The check-in counter had only one customer.

It is part of the Easter Economic Corridor Initiative to bolster more trade with among others, the Chinese.

The official picture of the airport.

Lai loves to talk on the phone.

Martins entrance picture of the airport.

Lai also takes pictures.

Lai leaving the airport through its unique design. Actually, very effectful.

Leaving the airport.

Off we went to Phra Samut Chedi Klang Nam. See the map.

Phra Samut Chedi Klang Nam lies next to the Rayong River, not far from the sea. See the map.

Martin and Kek at the Rayong River.

The Rayong River.

Sand castle at the exit. Some religious meaning I presume

Lovely red trees as we leav.

The entrance to a Muslim cemetery

The graves themselves.

The onion shaped dome that represents the Muslim faith that has killed more than 240 millions over the last 1600 years.

Off to the aquarium of Rayong, but it was closed. See the map.

The official sign of the aquarium.

Low tide at the sea.

The sign is very illustrative.

More low tide.

Lai, Martin and Kek.

Lai and Martin.

Even the trees are cut as sea creatures.

A local harbor.

Houses on tilts.

A local worker with a typical Vietnamian hat.

Suan Son Park and beach. Lai having some slimy calamari. Martin didn't like it. Tasted like bait.

It looks good.

Martin tried hard.

The swallowing was the hardest part. Martin couldn't get the idea of bait out of his head.

Martin on the beach.

And a cheeky beach dog turned up.

The beach view with the cheeky dog on it. In the background, Ko Samet. Martin was here in 2015.

Rayong in the bacground.
