Martin is having his last beer on our veranda overlooking the town. Martin enjoyed his stay at Vientiane Golden Sun hotel. We may be back next year. |
Trying out the bed for the last time. The sink is in need for some repair. |
Nice, cozy bed. Bank gave us food to go. Fried squirrel. Not much used as food elsewhere, but then the Laotians eat anything protein. |
Lai and Martin at the airport. Martin and Bankk saying good bye. |
Our airplane at Vientiane airport. Lai disembarking from the plane in Bangkok. |
To the bus. Don Muang is an old
airport that was temporarily closed and reopened. Our airplane on the tarmac in Bangkok. |

We had 4 hours to kill and went to
the Ploean Restaurant. A very spacious restaurant frequented by military
personnel. Martin and Suza at the table. |
From the left, Martin, Suza and
Lai. Martin had a salmon pie. A first for him. Not bad. |
The most impressive was the toilet. Martin has never seen cleaner, neater and pleasanter toilet anywhere on his travel. The restaurant is well worth a visit for their toilets. |

The
Ploen restaurant from the outside.
It was nice experience except for the receptionist. An ugly bitch that ignored you because you couldn't speak Thai, never smiled and wished us goodbye with a hateful and spiteful grin on her face. She should be moved away from customer contact. You could really feel her hate and disgust embracing you on the way out. How can an establishment keep an vengeful person like that? But see for yourself. And be sure you visit the toilets. |
On Thursday April 19th, it was time for
Nang Rong.
