This was a nice trip through the mountains via St. Cara to Varadereo.

The map shows the route, some 5 hours driving time.

We are leaving the crappy Hotel Club Amigo Ancon after some hassle. We left 45 minutes late.

Then a few hours later, we came to St. Clara in central Cuba. Old fashion horse charts were very much in the streets.

Nice tourist attractions.

To horse carriages were racing each other in the street. Quite a spectacular show.

There are many railroads in Cuba, most of them not in Use.

The monument of the armored car attack. The Cubans are very proud of this minor incident. Here some military cadets are taken on board to show the heroism of their long gone compatriots.

Bullet holes that look like they are shot with a .22 bullet or US Carbine, M1 gun.

The American BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) is proudly on display.

The "armor" plating is basically tin plates with sand in-between.

Farewell railroad mUseum.

Old cars are also prevailant.

Then to the shrine of Che Guevara, the big hero of the communist rebellion on Cuba in 1959.

Here we see Che in all his glory.

The big mural.

The mural depicting the heroism of the communist rebels of the time. The commies haven't much to offer their people, but some old stories are always good to have.

Stopover for a meal.

Detail of Che with his US Carbine, M1.

Then off to a nice restaurant with lovely food.

They had banners for German beers.

One of the lovely ladies on the trip. This has a gorgeous hair.

The surrounding was nice.

Martin and Nadja in the bus. The spent many hours together in their double seats.

Roy with a not so accommodating Vibeke in his lap.

Long roads ahead.

Field of oranges.

Our new hotel, Villa Cuba, very good hotel with a pool of 50 meters in length. This is the night view.

In the evening, it was a show.

With some snake fun.

A lady with a snake.

The next day Thursday, November 26th, it was time for a relaxing day at Varadero, a place we will stay at for the rest of our stay.
