The lovely pool seen from our room. View from our room towards the reception area. Lovely palm trees just outside the window. |
The River Kwai is running full tilt due to a lot of rain during this monsoon
season. The pool seen from the river sided. |
And the pool from the restaurant side. This is one of the
cleanest pools Martin has swum in and he has tried many. Palm trees outside the restaurant. |
Top of a local palm tree. The sign of The Royal Riverkwai Resort & Spa on the main road. |
Time for a local lunch at one of the many food joints in the
area. Kran had chicken soup with coagulated chicken blood. A lot of iron for Kran's blood. |
The restaurant. The picture is dark due to the adjustment
accidentally done to the camera. With the right adjustments, the beers get their lightening right. |
Tak, an old acquaintance from the hotel had a farewell party
here last night. You see Tak and her boyfriend Tom
here. A rainy afternoon and you can listen to it here. |
Tropical downpour is impressive. Mama Chef at the local joint just outside the hotel. Good, healthy, tasty and cheap Thai food. |
Kran wanted to try her hand on pool and is getting
instructions on How to. Kran is going for a long shot. |
Happy snooker couple after the game. |
The next day, Wednesday August 10th, it was time for
