To the left, Kran is busy finding Pawika's present. Martin is showing off the fish sauce so popular on Thai dishes. |
Outside the hotel, it was a parade of the highs schools in the area. This is the Red School. |
The woman to the right is the granddaughter of one of Kran's
acquaintances.
A lady boy girl, or so it looks. |
Not so happy girls in traditional Thai dresses. The Pink School. |
Orrathai spelled with 2 r's. Not correct. Martin at the Amazon Coffee bar. |
They have nice Internet connections. Time to send Martin's last postcards off to Norway and South Africa. |
Then a visit to The Praepimpalai Thai Spa and Resort on
Kamphaeng Phet. This is the first pool. The yellow room of The Praepimpalai is the biggest one. Very nice. |
This is the fancy shower of the Thai room with glass walls
towards the garden. The sink is impressive and very decorative. |
The second pool is a standard 15,75 meter length pool. It
takes 6 lengths to make 100 meters. The Kamphaeng Phet river below the resort is overflowing as most rivers this year. |
The entrance of Praepimpalai is mostly in Thai. Across the street, a lovely Buddha temple is set up. |
Kran just bought some beers for the road back to
Khlong Lan. Back Orathai, some computer work on the pictures for the day is in order. |
Martin enjoys this Spartan room with his beer
and computer. In the evening, back to the Korean barbeques joint with good, healthy food at a reasonable price. Martin is just finishing up. |
Pawika, Kran and Martin enjoying the soup from
the barbeque. Finishing off the soup is a nice ritual of the day before going back to the room. |
The next day, Friday August 5th,
it was time to go to Kamphaeng Phet and
The Praepimpalai Spa and Resort.
