We went on a day trip, visiting one of the many islands in the Mekong river.

This morning, the pool was not manually cleaned.

And the pool boy puts chlorine in at sunRISE which is wrong.

Martin had an American breakfast this morning.

Not sure if the pancake is such a good idea.

June had chicken. Took a long time to cock though.

Thea, our tour guide for the day.

Roll on from the main city side.

On the ferry that took us across the Mekong river.

Walking towards the river.

Another crossing of the Mekong.

Temple entrance.

Donations engraved in stone.

Maintaining stupas, burial grounds for their ancestors.

A smiling Buddha, Martin's favorite.

At the entrance of the complex.

Families use April to maintain burial sites for their ancestors.

Special flowers given to women given birth.

A praying Buddha.

Cannon ball fruits. Not edible.

A musician in stone playing a string instrument of sorts.

Making silk. Hard work.

Happy silk family. Martin, June, grandma and grandchildren.

Ditto. Martin i having fun with the grand children.

Thea, June and Martin having a beer.

Meeting a minister for Department of trade was very interestin.

He was very well spoken and spoke German as well.

The biggest fruit in the world, the jack-fruit.

Our driver is a serious man. But he could smile.

Stupas for sale.

We got stuck in the mud.

We were crossing back to the city.

On the ferry.

Roll-on the ferry. Simple and effective.

Making silk is a tedious and time-consuming process.

Silk cocoons with the silk on them.

The grand dad is spinning the silk into the raw material.

Her is the rough silk after it is made into treads.

We got served lovely fruits.

One of the granddaughters were three.

Back to the city. On the way back, we ran into a wedding.

We took the ferry across as usual. Very effective and many of them.

At the Korean restaurant for a big Angkor beer.

But the shrimps were dicey. Never eat seafood 200 kms from the sea.

On Monday Apr 4th was our last day in Phnom Penh for now.
