VietJet Air is the worst airline Martin
has flown with.
|
|
The lobby in A25 is very
nicely decorated. June and Martin waiting for transport to the airport. |

|
Waiting departure we had
some expensive beers at 2 US a can. But on the airplane, the price jumped to 3 US a can. On top of that, they put an extra 67% on international flights. This kind of blatant, raw capitalism, I have not seen anywhere on any airlines in my last 50 years of air travel. The management has no shame. And they have a couple of women on the board, which is rare in Vietnam. |

Checking in at VietJet's
counter was an ordeal. Martin, in his 50 years of air-travel has never experienced a practice like this They sell tickets with no luggage. You have to pay extra for that. |
|
|
Neither can they get Vietnamese names right.
They screw it up and let you pay 4 USD for them to fix their own screw-up.
Shitty airline. June boarding our plane to Bali.

Martin next to Sanjay on
the plane. Sanjay and his wife. |

|
The conveyer belt did
not work on the airport. June with some very nice pictures. |

Time to pay for visa. A mythical animal greeted us. |

When you got of the
plane, there were no trolleys and you had to walk for ever. The process of
paying for visa on arrival and passport control went as smooth as you can
expect it to. But the hassle started at customs. Here we had to fill in a form on a computer. There were 4 computers of which 2 worked. The computer system was glitzy and didn't work properly. Martin spent 50 minutes on this shit before he could get his ticket to get through the customs. The moron who designed this must have known nothing about customs nor computers. Why just do as everywhere else in the world? Just ask. "Do you have anything to custom?" Worst airport ever, DPS, Apron D Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai on Bali is the worst airport Martin has ever visited. To the left is the receipt for the visa and to the right is the stupid customs printout that took Martin 50 minutes to make. |
