The fancy residential blocks never cease to amaze Martin. They are very ugly towards the horizon.

To the left, we are leaving Avana hotel for now. A lovely hotel that Martin
liked a lot.
Time to take our junk with us. And it was a lot of it. |
||
On to the congested highway system of Bangkok. It seems to be a constant
traffic jam in this system. Close up of Baiyoke Tower in Bangkok. Martin has been there and he likes it. It was in August 2009. |
||
From Wikipedia, you have
Baiyoke Tower II which is
located on 222 Ratchaprarop Road in the Ratchathewi district of
Bangkok: It is Thailand's tallest building. It contains the Baiyoke
Sky Hotel, the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia, and the
fourth-tallest all-hotel structure in the world.
The fancy residential blocks never cease to amaze Martin. They are very ugly towards the horizon. |
||
Then off to Mhee's house where Kran
stays for the time being. This being her sewing table. The entrance of Mhee's house was flooded in late 2011. |
||
Kran's dressmaker Jit. Kran and Jit are friends too. |
||
A short stop on the way to the
National Park is nice. Martin had the last one of his beers brought from Norway. |
||
Norwegian beer drunk Thai style
with ice and a straw. The interior of the stopover restaurant was very neat and clean. A nice feeding place. |
||
Then we arrived at last to our
hotel in the wilderness, The
Lilawalai Resort.
Here is the entrance. A nice waterfall to the lobby. |
||
Kran wanted to pose in the field of
Lilawalai. The typical buildings of the resort. This picture Martin took and compare it to the official one. |
||
The official picture of
our bedroom. An evening picture of the swimming pool. It looks very inviting when the picture is taken by a professional photographer. |
||
The breakfast area also looks very good on the official photos. Martin will take the real ones to be published on tomorrows page. |
The next day, Tuesday February
28th, it was time to loaf around in the Khao Yai National Park and it surroundings.
