Summing it all up.

Aug 10, Ano Nang Shooting Range
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click on the thumbnails, and you get the full picture in a separate window. Back to start.

A day where the shooting range was checked out and another day at the Gillhams Fishing Resort.

To the left, Ao's  mother Noi with Martin's gift from Norway.

She is a tough cookie and in charge of everything that goes on at Arcadian Villa.

Money goes fast. Thank God for the ATMs so Martin can burn some cash.

At Ao Nang's Shooting range. Not bad.

The sign of the shooting range.

It is very well constructed. No bullets can leave the confines of the range.

Safety rules are clear and to the point.

Ao's new house, if he can finance it. Asked the bank and it takes a month to process.

Front view of the house to be.

The backstop of the house. Here there will be a waterfall.

The entrance side towards the mountains.

In his living room. All units have 3 stories, but no kitchen! Cannot fathom that, house without kitchen? The architects must have been sleeping.

They are building at the back of the house. If the mountain doesn't fall down on them, it's a nice place.

On the third floor. There is an enormous room there with no access. Could easily been used as a guest room. Again, what kind of architects build and enormous room with no access? Someone must have been sleeping in the class.

There is a kind of sea view if you look hard enough through the trees.

Waster containers of some sort at the back of the flats up the hill side.

Cutting stripes in the concrete is hard work.

Here you can see the machine. It is to prevent slippery slopes up to the house.

Making rails the old fashion style by hand.

Off to the Gillhams. This is the view Martin enjoys while developing himself, reading computer magazines, drinking beer and tanning.

The loo and the shower of the pool area. Frequented by Martin often before and after his bouts of swimming. Usually 3 times 1000 meters a day.

In tanning mode underneath a cover in case of rain.

Martin's rain hut. Nice, but this far, it never rained during the day. It only pours down in the morning and that's it.

The beautiful landscape of the Gillhams.

Stuart, the owner, has a flair for gardening as can be seen here in is flower bed with rock.

Stuart himself, a proud father of Jack, just two months old. And his beautiful Thai wife. Lucky fellow.

The next day, Tuesday August 11th, it was time for Jaa to arrive. Martin to visit the shooting range and doctor.
