The first day was used to get an orientation and to participate on a city tour, something Martin did n 2002 as well..
 

	To the left, the ice cold pool of Grand Oasis. It was some 16 degrees, far too cold to swim in without a wet suit. Some used it. Martin's room from the outside.
	The ice pool again. It looks lovely. But it isn't. The reception area.

	They showed you how they made papyrus, the old paper of Egypt. Martin bought a love letter for Kran on papyrus. She will get it in April.
	There was a very nice fish restaurant in the market quarter of Sharm El Sheik. Martin didn't eat anything. He spent his time in an Internet café seen here. Not expensive either.
