Summing it all up.

The first day was used to get an orientation and to participate on a city tour, something Martin did n 2002 as well..

To the left, the ice cold pool of Grand Oasis. It was some 16 degrees, far too cold to swim in without a wet suit. Some used it.

Martin's room from the outside.

The ice pool again. It looks lovely. But it isn't.

The reception area.

The main entrance of the hotel.

Outside the hotel, building is going on. The whole area is overinvested.

The AK47 guy, standing guard behind his steel plate all day. Lousy job.

Lovely row of palms along the street.

Caligula center. Martin managed to get his money.

Nice metal horse in the square. It is not water even if it looks like it.

The bank that finally gave Martin some money.

Small glasses for the beer is a must on an all inclusive hotel.

The hotel rooms seen from the pool area.

Then off to the tax free shop. Nothing much tempted Martin and he only bought a few beers.

Some of the goods in the shop.

Our Jalla tour guide is a must even though is doesn't do anything except getting a salary.

Martin queuing up for his two beers.

A Jally mosque, newly built in Sharm.

Nice, impressive front.

Martin took a beer and was chased away.

The Jalla mosque from a distance.

Martin in front of the mosque with his beer.

A newly built Coptic church near by.

It was really nice.

Nice entrance.

Moses was part of it too. He has a history on the Sinai peninsula.

The ceiling of the church. Finished last month.

The pulpit is very impressive.

The priest himself, a friendly, jolly fellow that tried to convince that God was good. No dice.

Time off to the junk shop.

They showed you how they made papyrus, the old paper of Egypt.

Martin bought a love letter for Kran on papyrus. She will get it in April.

There was a very nice fish restaurant in the market quarter of Sharm El Sheik. Martin didn't eat anything.

He spent his time in an Internet café seen here. Not expensive either.

The next day, Thursday April 2nd, it was time for
