Turmeric root is a
vibrant, golden-orange rhizome used as a spice to add warm, earthy flavors
and a deep color to dishes like curries, soups, and rice, and is
processed into a powder after boiling and drying. It contains curcuma, a
polyphone with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and can be used

Off
to Luang Namtha, Laos, the term "Luang Namtha Stupa" refers to the
Golden Stupa (also known as Samakkhixay Stupa), a landmark on a hill
offering panoramic views. It was completed in 2008 to commemorate a
historical friendship, while That
Phum Phuk, another stupa on a different hill, is a 2003 replica of an
original destroyed during the war. Both offer excellent viewpoints of the
surrounding area. on a hilltop outside the city.

for lunch, we went to a local joint. This one we did not like, so we went to
the neighbor.
It was a nice shack and the food was made
street side. |
