Summing it all up.

A frustrating day. Martin managed to misplace his tour tickets and and to get new ones. They are somewhere in a very safe place. So safe that Martin cannot find them

To the left, Martin with his favorite Goan shirt at the Internet café.

To the right, the cabdriver natural air freshener.

The cab driver himself, Dayanand Govenkar, +91 982 2182 753. He knew how to drive a car.

Martin's favorite sewage pipe over a river.

Detail of sewage valve.

At the pick-up point, Ticlo Resort.

Ticlo details.

Watch boy with one missing tooth,  Lipu Henna.

Distant hotel.

Crossing many of the salt water channels in the area.

Lene in blue, our Danish guide.

At the market, some shop owners doesn't take their business to serious. Like this one.

Spices all over the show.

Kurt and Britta, friendly Danes that also was on the tour.

Dried fish used during the rainy seasons. Stinks high heaven though.

Lovely bananas.

Crowded market streets.

After all this walking, a cold beer at the Xavier restaurant really tasted.

Friendly Indian on the next door table. They are easy to speak to.

Mrs. Salgaonker, shop owners wife. Proudly displaying her red dot, telling the world she is married.

Salgonker shop no 8.

On to the river cruise. This traffic circle had a very nice decoration in the center. Good idea.

Crossing under the bridge.

Another more traditional boat on the waters.

Indian queuing up with the Danish clown in the white hat to the left.

Happy Indian youngsters on the quay.

Happy Martin on the boat.

The other river crossing at Panaj. See map for details.

Iron ore is the second biggest money earner for Goa, after tourism. These are the barges that take the ore from the inland out to the bulk carriers on the reef to be transported to China and Japan.

The rest of the iron ore barge.

A full view of these barges.

Sunset at the boat.

The captain on his bridge.

Kurt and our Danish tourguide Lene. She spoke a perfect kartoffel (means that when Danes speak, it sounds like they are having a kartoffel [potato] in their troat) Danish, incomprehensible for non-Danes.

Our local clown on the trip Mr. White Hat.

The next day, Tuesday April 8th, it was time for some tanning and a shopping trip with Luksesia at House of Cathleen, telephone no 651 3292.
