After a rather uncomfortable sleep on his rucksack, Martin was ready to roll at 0400 this early morning 65 years after D-day.

To the left, the empty check-in counters at 0430 hours on the 6th.

But the tax-free is open 24/7 on Oslo international airport.

After shopping, since the restaurants are all closed, Martin enjoys a tax-free beer. Here the sun is rising on the customers at 0500 hours. Nice.

Martin slept like a log on the plane after his early morning beers. Here, we are departing the airplane at Split International airport.

What gave a very bad first impression of Croatia was the long queues at the passport control. They weren't not even full manned and the we stayed in the queues for ever.

After a long haul, it was time to get on to the bus to take us to the Podkorka hotel some 100 kms to the South of Split.

The mountain range on the way to Podogra, a city to the South.

A very weird veranda, completely built in. Waste of building material.

A view from the window when you at the end got it open.

The restaurant next to the hotel.

As everywhere, there are holiday flats for sale. Here are some.

The beaches in Croatia are very stony, not sandy. Swimming shoes are a must. Martin brought his.

The Croatian flag flying proudly in the wind at the beach. Same colors as the Norwegian one. Red, blue and white.

A nice landmark at Podogra.

The locals really enjoyed their beach. Not many tourist ventured out in the water due to the windy, overcast weather.

Some lovely flowers at the seaside where Martin had a beer.

The Podgorka Hotel and Martin's room.

The entrance of the hotel. Not great. Only two stars. But it suffices.

The next day, Sunday 7th , it was time for an orientation meeting on a boat David at the harbor of Podagra,
