Summing it all up.

Nice pine outside Martin's room.

The celebration of May 17th next to the pool.

A lone Norwegian flag on the balcony next to Martin's room.

Martin is having his celebration beer at a local joint close to the sea.

The 17th of May 17th procession has just left the hotel and is moving down to the harbour.

The police helped out and stopped the traffic so we could get across the streets.

Come and Dance  (CAD)brought their own musicians and they headed the procession with drums. I very nice touch. The followed the management of CAD and most of the local dancers.

Here the procession is crossing the main road down to the beach with a little help from the local cops.

On the pavement along the sea was a nice spectacle most appreciated by the local Greeks.

The hotel had made a special 17th of May cake for the occasion.

In addition the hotel treated the participants with free coffee most appreciated by the Norwegian participants.

The management team of the hotel greeting the Norwegian at the hotel on their National day.

Chinese restaurant.

Martin tried a Chinese beer for a change.

Duck with pineapple was very good.

The next day, Wednesday May 18th, was our last day on Crete for now.
