A long day's trip to the ruins of Knossos, some 7000 years old.

Martins happily settled in the bus.

There are some snow capped mountains on route, reaching more than 2500 above sea level.

Toilet visits are important and only one of them makes for queues. Especially for the ladies.

Arkadi Monastery that was blown up by the Cretans during a siege by the Muslim Turks in 1869.

The church was rebuilt using the original stones.

The next day, Thursday May 14th there were a strike on Crete and we were delayed for 2 hours.
